The Killakee House is the brainchild of vibrant and outspoken frontwoman, Courtney Kiker. When forming the Atlanta-based alternative punk band in 2020, Kiker didn’t have to look any further than long-time friends, Craigan Hogeland and Juergie Landstrom. The band pulls inspiration from The Menzingers, Against Me!, Sincere Engineer, and Red City Radio, incorporating these inspirations while carefully crafting a sound of their own. Hogeland and Landstrom create rich, emotional instrumentation as a canvas to be layered with Kiker’s deeply emotive, yet relatable lyrics. The Killakee House skillfully paints a picture of a life full of trauma, anger, love, and growth. “Bridge Too Far” is the band’s debut single off their new EP “Without Wax” out now via 59 X Records.
